Job Overview
BWE is hiring qualified Diesel Mechanics in Isando. This is a great full-time opportunity for skilled tradespeople in the earthmoving equipment sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out scheduled and preventative maintenance and repairs based on OEM guidelines.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical problems on earthmoving equipment at customer sites.
- Complete customer machine reports including failure analysis, condition, and service data.
- Generate Machine Inspection Reports (MIRs) and Technical Analysis Reports (TAs).
- Maintain a professional image when representing BWE on client sites.
- Follow health and safety practices during all maintenance work.
- Ensure contamination control standards are followed at all times.
- Manage personal administration including labour bookings and part returns.
- Consistently meet ISO quality and productivity standards.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified in a relevant trade (Diesel Mechanic or Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic) – NQF Level 3.
- Strong technical knowledge of earthmoving machinery.
- Basic technical report writing and computer literacy (SIS, STW, ET).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Valid Code B driver's license.
- Understanding of supplier warranty procedures and systems.
- Problem-solving and fault diagnosis skills.
