Job Overview

This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring electricians to gain hands-on experience. The apprentice will assist the electrical team with installations, maintenance, testing, and fault finding, while learning under the supervision of qualified professionals.

Job Objectives

  • Assist in planning, wiring, testing, inspecting, and maintaining electrical systems.
  • Work under direct supervision of a qualified electrician on various tasks.
  • Participate in fault finding, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
  • Learn about control systems and help in related installations and maintenance.
  • Assist with minor construction and support tasks, such as bricklaying.

The Electrical Apprentice will support qualified electricians with installation, maintenance, testing, fault-finding, and commissioning of electrical systems under supervision. This is a 6–9 month contract position based in the Western Cape.

Job Objectives

  • Assist in wiring, connection, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems under supervision.
  • Work closely with a qualified electrician on installations and fault finding.
  • Participate in commissioning electrical installations and control systems.
  • Observe and assist with electrical inspections and testing procedures.
  • Support the electrical team in daily operational tasks and incident response.
  • Assist with the maintenance of electrical equipment and installations.
  • Learn bricklaying processes to support infrastructure-related tasks.

Requirements

  • Ability to learn on the job and follow instructions.
