Job Overview
Star Retailers, a leading FMCG group in Phoenix, Durban, is offering a 12-month Finance Internship. Interns will support the Finance Department with reconciliations, data analysis, financial reports, and administrative functions. This role is ideal for recent graduates looking to gain valuable experience in the retail sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in processing intercompany invoices.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register with support from the management accountant.
- Reconcile income, expense, asset, and liability accounts.
- Help prepare reports to analyze financial trends.
- Support the finance team with day-to-day tasks.
- Assist the accounts payable accountant with credit applications.
- Provide general assistance to the Financial Controller and Management Accountant.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting or BTech in Cost and Management Accounting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, including workbook creation.
- Strong willingness to learn and contribute.
