About the Role
As a General Assistant, you will support the kitchen operations by helping prepare food, maintain cleanliness, and assist the chefs. This role requires shift work and strong attention to hygiene and stock maintenance. It’s an excellent opportunity to enter the hospitality industry with a well-known brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs in preparing and plating food.
- Follow hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, appliances, and equipment.
- Check and organise kitchen stock (food, spices, packaging).
- Report stock levels and damages to the chef or supervisor.
- Rotate stock and discard expired items according to guidelines.
- Support in waste control and accurate stock recording.
- Receive and correctly store all deliveries.
- Clean kitchen and service areas before and after each shift.
- Fulfil ad hoc tasks as assigned by management or the team.
