At the Johannesburg Workshop, Bell Equipment is providing four fantastic apprenticeship opportunities for heavy equipment mechanics. For young people who are passionate about engineering and mechanics and want to begin their careers in the heavy equipment sector, these apprenticeships are perfect.
Who Can Apply?
Applications are open to suitably qualified South African citizens. Preference will be given to current Bell Equipment employees. The company supports diversity and employment equity and encourages candidates from underrepresented groups to apply.
Minimum Entry Requirements
- Grade 12 with Mathematics (Core), Physical Science, Engineering Graphics & Design (EGD), or Mechanical Technology
- OR N2 Certificate with four subjects: Mathematics, Engineering Science, Diesel/Motor Trade Theory, Engineering Drawing or Industrial Electronics
- OR NCV Level 4 (Engineering Related Design) with seven subjects in Automotive
- Must pass Technical Assessment (Numeracy & Literacy)
- Good physical health – medical examination may be required
- Valid Code EB (08) driver’s licence
- Must live within a 50km radius of Bell Customer Service Centre
Added Advantages
- Experience in the engineering or automotive industry
- Completed basic hand skills training
- Valid passport
